We have been busy with on-going improvements at the shelter, rescuing and finding homes for animals, meeting more people at the Saturday market, and continuing to provide free spay and neuter services.

While the primary reconstruction was complete before the last hurricane in the fall, we continue to make improvement for the animals and staff.

  • 4 new shelters were built, allowing some of the special needs dogs to get out of the larger shelter and for interaction with other dogs and staff.
  • The cat shelter has been reopened and we have feline residents for the first time in a very long time.
  • The solar panels have been re-installed and are fully operable.
  • A new fence was constructed along the river side of the property. Since the storm the fence was built with bits and pieces of the one that was destroyed.
  • A new water filter was installed, providing a steady supply of drinking water.

Spay and Neuter Clinics
