Diane and Jair were brought together by their love for nature. They are always seeking out amazing views and hidden gems and they want to share that with you. In this exclusive interview they take the time to talk about their backgrounds and their business.

Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

We are Diane and Jair. We were born in the United States and Mexico, respectively. We were brought together by our love for nature and seeking out the best views and hidden gems of the Riviera Nayarit. When we aren’t leading our tour, you can find us around town with our dog, Bella, relaxing under an umbrella at the beach, or trying out the next new restaurant to pop up.

Can you tell me about what inspired you to start your business?

The idea to start our business sparked during quarantine. We stayed in Sayulita during the quarantine and spent almost all of our days exploring the jungle and practicing yoga on the beach while social distancing. We quickly realized how great it was for our mental and physical health to be connected to nature and move mindfully, so we decided that we wanted to share it with others.

What services do you offer?

We offer hiking and yoga tours. Our tour is a 3 hour experience guided by Jair, who will lead you through the jungle pointing out all of the flora and fauna along the way, as well as the best photo-ops. Once we arrive at the beach Diane leads an all-levels yoga class in a shady spot on the beach overlooking the ocean. It is a lovely way to retreat from the hustle and bustle of Sayulita and connect with nature and yourself to the sounds of the jungle and ocean waves. Prepare to de-stress and detox from the stress of everyday life with a lovely mix of rejuvenating yoga, gorgeous landscapes, jungle hiking, and plenty of time to enjoy the pristine beach.

Tell me a bit about your background with this industry?

Diane is a certified yoga instructor as well as mindful meditation teacher who specializes in all-level vinyasa and restorative. Jair is an avid hiker and trail runner who has a great understanding of the jungle and many years of plant and animal knowledge. We are both bilingual and offer the tours in both English and Spanish.

What does your business offer that separates it from the rest?

What sets us apart from the rest is that our tour is very informational, but also casual. We want you to have fun, and feel comfortable asking questions, and feel like we are all old friends going on a hike. We can laugh and joke around, take photos, talk about the best tacos in Sayulita as well as practice your spanish.

What are your future plans for your business? Any new goals?

One of our next projects is offering a Hike and yoga retreat in Sayulita in November of 2022. The focus of this retreat is slowing down, and enjoying the extraordinary within the ordinary - the ocean, the jungle, great healthy food, and great company.

Is there anything special that you want to share?

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi and avid hiker or complete beginner, this tour is for you. We are more than happy to guide you and show you the parts of Sayulita that most people never get to see. You will leave our tour feeling nourished, relaxed, and with a deep appreciation and understanding of the nature that surrounds Sayulita.
