Even as the airlines squeeze our legs into narrower and narrower confines, gouge us with ancillary fees and deprive us of the extra large bags of peanuts we remember from days gone by, there is one pain of air travel that has nothing to do with the plane.

We’re talking about our fellow passengers, those people who were abandon all social and hygienic niceties the second they step on board. We’re sure that outside of a pressurized metal tube they’re all very nice people, but something about strapping in for that long flight turns some switch off in their mind.
