Inferno Exotic Car 2015 (Design Spawn)

A group of Mexican engineers claim to have created a revolutionary new supercar which is nigh-impossible to crush in the event of a collision.

Specialists from LTM Hot Spot say they’ve manufactured the car from a special metal which absorbs impacts, allowing the car’s bodywork to retain its shape so the car can still be driven after a crash.

Called the Inferno Exotic, the vehicle reportedly also produces a massive 1,381bhp, enough to take it from 0-62mph in less than three seconds, before heading on to a top speed of 245mph.

Designers at LTM Hot Spot say they’ve been working on the project for the past five years, with the special ‘metal foam’ construction made from a combination of zinc, aluminium and silver.

As well as being super light, the car’s construction can reportedly stretch up to 100 times its original length without affecting structural properties, according to the Technological Institute of Monterrey.

Manuel Llaguno, spokesman for LTM, said: “"We believe that this material is suitable for the manufacture of this car. The market for exotic cars is a demanding one and we want to ensure the success of the vehicle. We are confident we can do it.”

It’s hoped that the Inferno Exotic could pave the way for a surge in Mexico’s domestic automotive industry, with Llaguno suggesting that he expects the car to be a success in overseas markets.
