Mexico City Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera said the nation’s capital city was ready to implement medical use of marijuana.
“There have been studies, analyses and research done on the medicinal effects” of cannabis, the mayor told reporters after an event last week. “I repeat, from the medical point of view, we wouldn’t have any obstacle for implementation,” Mancera said.
The Supreme Court will debate a draft ruling written by Justice Arturo Zaldivar endorsing the personal consumption and cultivation of marijuana for recreational purposes, Mancera said.
