Buggies, motorcycles, trucks, ATVs and custom models will be among the wide assortment of vehicles duking it out for supremacy in one of the biggest motorsports events known to man.

This year's competition will see drivers and riders return to the loop format after 2014's point-to-point race, a format that has historically produced quicker finishing times.

Last year's event proved to be one of the longest in the Baja 1000's 48-year history; the fastest car team topped the 22-hour mark for just the fourth time in history, while the quickest motorcycle team produced the third-slowest time in that format's history.

Thrills and spills are a given, but there's so much more to look forward to in one of the most unpredictable races of the year.
