Last August, the biggest mine spill in Mexico left residents with chemical burns, respiratory illnesses, contaminated drinking water and tons of lost crops. But more than a year on from the accident the company responsible - Grupo Mexico - and the government, say that all is back to normal.

Al Jazeera returned to see if that was true, and what had been done to help the communities worst affected by the disaster.
