Five members of a notorious Mexican drug cartel were discovered tied to a lamppost waiting for local authorities (CEN).
The men are suspects in the murder of a taxi driver earlier this week and were discovered to be tied to a lamppost with gaffer tape.
Witnesses described the men, who were gagged and blindfolded in Ciudad Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, held a sign indicating they were members of the New Juárez Cartel drugs gang. The message was taped to the body of one of the members.
After arresting the men, local police are investigating to determine whether the cartel members were left by vigilantes or abandoned by their, or a rival, cartel.

The New Juárez Cartel is based in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, a city bordering the United States, and is considered to be one of Mexico's most dangerous cities due to the drug gangs.
Despite their appearance, media police sources claim each of the men were discovered to be physically unharmed, but were shocked and showed signs of distress.
