Welcome Patricias Mexico (Visitmex)
Hurry, you only have a few days left to put in your free bid for a fabulous, all-inclusive vacation for two in one of Mexico’s top resort areas. There’s only one big hitch: Your name has to be Patricia (or you’d like to bring along a guest by that name).
Why Patricia? Because that was the name of a giant hurricane that looked like it might wipe out parts of three western Mexico vacationlands – Manzanillo (remember Blake Edwards’ hit movie, “Ten?”), Puerto Vallarta and the neighboring state of Nayarit – a few months ago. Fortunately, the hurricane veered off at the last minute, leaving the resorts virtually untouched. There were no injuries.
The Mexico Tourism Board cooked up the Patricia promotion to call attention to the fact that the hurricane missed, and the three resorts are still wide open – as 25 winners of the sweepstakes and their guests will find out first-hand next year. Bids for the vacation are due by this Dec. 31. The winners and their guests will enjoy free airfares to the resorts from the U.S. and Canada as well as lodging, chow and other all-inclusive amenities.
