National migrant organizations criticized today what they called passive and even conspiratorial stance on the raids and mass deportations in the United States.

More than three million Mexicans were forced to return, during President Barack Obama's Administration, the organizations said.

They warned that this policy would gain strength during the current year, due to the presidential elections in the United States, using migration as an electoral issue.

Representatives of the Binational Organization Aztlan Chicago-Mexico, the Alliance for the Rights of Immigrants, the Binational Movement for Hope, the Tonatico Social Club Migration, Remittances and Development, and the Binational Coalition against Donald Trump denounced to the media that due to the electoral atmosphere, pro-hatred and xenophobia demonstrations increased in the United States in recent months.

In a joint statement, those organizations defended the human rights of the migrant population, victim of raids and deportations to places that many of them left to escape from violence and hunger, said the newspaper La Jornada.
