Government Secretary issued the ruling on extraordinary emergency for 446 municipalities in 23 Mexican states, where low temperatures prevail prevailed this week.
The most affected states are in the north, as Chihuahua, Coahuila, Sonora, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas, although Puebla, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi and Veracruz are included.
With the ruling on emergency, the resources of the Fund for the Assistance to Emergencies was activated, in order to meet the needs for food, shelter and clothes, and heath of the affected population.
