The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg welcomed 11 new animals to its facility over the weekend, after the animals dealt with horrific situations in Mexico.

The animals, all large cats, were rescued from different parts of the country. The rescued include: tigers, lions, jaguars and a leopard.

“These animals have been so abused by humans you wouldn’t blame them for never wanting to talk to a human again. And yet they realize they’re in a really good place now,” said Pat Craig, Executive Director of the Wild Animal Sanctuary.

The Sanctuary provided a list of the 11 animals rescued. You can learn more about them at KDVR.com
