Easter is Mexico’s biggest holiday season. For tens of thousands of people - that means a traditional trip to the beach in Acapulco.

But the resort city, once frequented by famous stars like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor - has become one of the most violent in the world.

This Easter the Archbishop pleaded with the gangs fighting for control of extortion and kidnapping rackets to stop killing, but his words had little effect.
