Breaking down the basics of the Trump University lawsuits (Fox News)

Donald Trump’s unfavorable mark soared to 70 percent, pollsters said Wednesday, in the wake of his race-based comments about a federal judge.

Only 29 percent of those surveyed in an ABC/Washington Post poll said they had a favorable view of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

This same ABC/Washington Post poll showed Trump with a 60 percent unfavorable rating last month.

Trump has been roundly criticized for comments he made earlier this month about US District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is handling the lawsuit against the real estate tycoon’s Trump University.

Trump said Curiel, born in Indiana to Mexican immigrant parents, shouldn’t be allowed to handle the case because he might not be fair in the wake of the candidate’s campaign promise to build a wall along the US-Mexico border.

The Republican’s unfavorable scores span across all races, with whites (59 percent), African Americans (94 percent) and Hispanics (89 percent) all saying that take a dim view of Trump.

Likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton also did poorly in this poll.
