Surfers navigate huge waves at the Puerto Escondido Challenge in Mexico on Saturday, with the South African Grant Baker achieving first place with a narrow defeat of the American series defending champion Greg Long.
The event was the first on the 2016-17 World Surf League Big Wave Tour calendar, which requires waves to be reaching at least 20 feet (6 metres) in height before an event can take place.
