Eliseu Guarani has sent this urgent plea for help (Survival International)
Ever wondered what life's like in a remote tribal community? What tribal people have to say about the world? Tribal Voice, a project by Survival International, brings the thoughts and experiences of some of the most diverse societies on earth direct to your screen in real time.
The Guarani, whose land has been stolen and destroyed by plantations and ranches, are now sending regular updates about their lives, and their struggle to survive. It's time to listen.
As the Olympics continue, don’t forget about the plight of the Guarani people, and tribes across Brazil. Eliseu Guarani is telling you that his people are constantly under attack, their leaders are being killed and their ancestral land is not being returned to them. But the Olympic Games in Brazil won’t show this shocking reality.
Eliseu has sent you this urgent plea for help. The Guarani need you to push the Brazilian authorities to map out and protect their ancestral land, their “tekoha”.
You can find out more about the Guarani here and about our Stop Brazil Genocide campaign here.
