A study from Mexico explores how musical training might be helpful in helping kids with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
23 healthy children underwent special MRI scans, then took music lessons for 9 months.
Afterward, new MRI scans showed changes in the brain in the form of increased fiber connections.
Prior research has linked ADHD and autism to a certain degree to a decrease of those connections.
