Los Cabos, situated on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, will play host to the eighth and final act of the 2017 season as part of a new partnership between OC Sport, the Los Cabos Tourism Board, and German software company SAP.
SAP, a long-time supporter of the Extreme Sailing Series, will serve as the host venue partner for the Mexican event, having been the official technical partner and analytics provider of the series as a whole since 2012.
This year’s Extreme Sailing Series got underway in Muscat, Oman earlier this month. The Mexico event is slated to take place from 30th November to 3rd December.
"We are thrilled to bring the Extreme Sailing Series to Mexico for the first time,” said Dr. Stefan Lacher, the head of sponsorship innovations at SAP, which also title sponsors the Danish-flagged SAP Extreme Sailing team.
“Los Cabos is the perfect venue for the unique stadium races and it promises to be an extraordinary and exciting series finale in 2017.”
