Tuesday 34,000 signatures supporting the petition to revoke the appointment of former President Felipe Calderón will be delivered to the president of Harvard University, Drew Gilpini Faust, and David T. Ellwood, dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
The U.S. citizen, John Randolph, and the Mexican, Eduardo Cortes Rivadeneyra, have charged that the thousands of victims of the war on crime and the role of Calderón in it "are sufficient reasons to support the request."
On December 14, Cortés began the movement through social networks to demand that the university not hire a person who will make presentions based on manipulated numbers.
The arguments for revoking the appointment is based on the negative results [of Calderon´s administration], which include public debt rising 122 percent, generating 7.3 million more poor, and 100,000 dead and 25,000 missing.
