The first official trailer for "The East" - a story centered on contract worker who is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group, only to find herself falling for its leader. Starring Ellen Page, Alexander Skarsgard and Brit Marling. (ENTV)

The first teaser for director Zal Batmanglij’s new film The East, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, isn’t so much a trailer as it is the kind of warning video you’d expect from the hacktivist collective Anonymous — if Anonymous took up eco-activism and decided to aim their crosshairs at corporations destroying the environment.

In the video, a group of environmental activists who call themselves “The East” promise to “counterattack three corporations in the next six months for their worldwide terrorism.” The fast-cut teaser is narrated by star Ellen Page (Juno) who plays one of The East’s most devoted members.

The teaser also offers glimpses of True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard as an East-er named Benji, and the film’s star (and co-writer) Brit Marling, who plays a woman named Sarah hired by big corporations to infiltrate the group. The video also represents the sort of media that Batmanglij believes more activists will use to get their message across in the 21st century.
