On March 18 - 28, 2013 world leaders will convene to negotiate the first ever treaty that will help prevent keep weapons out of the hands of human rights abusers, such as armed groups and government forces that put children into combat.

The keys to a strong Arms Trade Treaty are in President Obama’s hands. Last year the administration stalled negotiations following a campaign of lies and disinformation by the NRA and the gun lobby. But this March we have another chance to pass a treaty with strong human rights safeguards.

An Arms Trade Treaty that will help prevent more children recruited as soldiers, more women raped in conflict zones, more mass displacement, and more senseless deaths. And a treaty that, despite NRA lies, will have no impact on gun rights in the US.
