In order that their demands and requirements are incorporated into the National Development Plan (NDP) 2013-2018, organizations belonging to the National Indigenous Movement (MIN) will hold forums today and Saturday in the states of Mexico and Michoacán, which stressed the need for recognition of the rights of the indigenous peoples.
At a press conference, María Antonieta Hernández, from the MIN, read a statement in which it is stated that the indigenous of the country have once again been struck by the way that the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI) has carried out consultations to integrate the NDP.
