The Beaches of Riviera Nayarit (aol)

Five Mexican beaches have received Blue Flag certification for having global excellence.

The certified beaches were: Chahué, in Oaxaca; Chileno, in Baja California Sur, Delfines, in Quintana Roo, El Palmar, in Guerrero, and Nuevo Vallarta Norte in Nayarit.

Blue flag is an international certifier of the world’s most important beaches, marinas and boats, which promotes the sustainable management of coastal destinations in the world, and recognizes those that have achieved excellence in environmental education and information, water quality, general environmental management and safety and services.

This certification shows that Mexican beaches are able to compete with world-class destinations.
