More than half of all immigrants are women. Though we all wear many hats; we speak with one voice for immigration reform that makes sure women and all families are fully included in the road to citizenship. Fedoras4Fairness is a project of We Belong Together @womenbelong, a national campaign to demand common sense immigration reform that treats women and families fairly. (WomenBelong)

We Belong Together has initiated a fun campaign, “Fedoras For Fairness,” hoping to raise awareness for immigration reform that treats women and LGBT families fairly.

According to We Belong Together, the campaign uses the fedora as a metaphor for the many different hats that women wear “to create a brighter future for all.”

Citing that half of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. are female, the campaign notes that current immigration discriminates against women.

“Fedoras For Fairness” is calling on you and celebrities alike to show support through social media by using the hashtag “#Fairdora.”
