With the participation of artist and speakers from 30 countries, the second edition of the International Festival of Mayan Culture (FICM), will be held from October 17th to November 3rd of this year. The event is already part of Mexico’s cultural calendar with the support of the Federal Government.
Speaking to representatives of boards, civic associations, museum directors and business leaders as well as state, federal and municipal authorities, the Governor of Yucatan said that, “through the FICM a clear message to the world will be delivered in order to take action to live sustainably with environment conservation.”
“We want the Festival to be an invitation for dialogue between all peoples of the world and a meeting place between all Mexicans to live and reinforce social cohesion and a culture of peace,” continued Zapata Bello.
