The film follows Animal Defenders International rescuers as they track down 25 abused lions in Boliva and transport them to a U.S. animal sanctuary. (animaldefenders)

An undercover investigation by ADI led to a ban on animal circuses in Bolivia. People thought that was it, but most circuses defied the law.

Lion Ark, currently in production, tells the story of how the team that secured the evidence of animal suffering returned to track down the circuses and rescue every animal; with a stunning finale as 25 lions are airlifted to safety in Colorado.

A unique behind the scenes record of front line animal rescue, the heartache and the joy. A story of bravery, compassion, camaraderie and determination and a country that said 'no' to cruelty.

Lion Ark was completed on 1st June 2013.  We aim to launch the film on the festival circuit in the late summer/fall.  Details of screening will be announced here and on our Facebook page.
