International Fair of Children and Youth Literature Opens in Mexico Prensa Latina | |

Children and young Mexicans will be offered more than 120 new books and interesting panels and educational projects, with the opening of 33rd International Fair of Literature for Children and Young People (FILIJ).
According to Rafael Tovar, president of National Council for Culture and Arts (Conaculta), this is the second most important literary event in the country after International Book Fair of Guadalajara.
One of main events of the fair will be 16th International Seminar on Promotion of Reading, with the participation of leading specialists from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Spain, United States, France and Mexico.
The fair, which will run until November 18th, will pay tribute to puppeteer Mireya Cueto, recently deceased, and writer Jorge Ibarguengoitia, on 30th anniversary of his death.
