UCI Track Cycling World Cup 2012-2013 in Aguascalientes (Mauricio Moreno)
The eliminatory stages for pursue by teams for both sexes will open the second stage of the Track Cycling World Cup in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes, scheduled for Sunday.
The preliminary competitions for speed by teams, the first for the "omnium" (a combined modality including speed, pursue, scratch, etc, to seek for the most complete athletes in the sport) and the race by points, at 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
The day will close with the finals for the pursue by teams for men and women, the speed by teams, 2nd and 3rd stages for the "omnium", the race by points at 12.4 miles for women and the male sprint by teams.
The most important athletes from Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, China, Canada, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, Italy and Mexico will take part at the event at the Domo Bicentenario in Aguascalientes, regarded by many specialists as one of the fastest tracks in the world.
