The Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta in Riviera Nayarit will host the II International Beach Polo Cup on July 5 - 7, 2013.

At a press conference held at the hotel, Octavio Munguia, Event Sports Director, said that "the Second International Beach Polo Cup can be summed up in four words: Glamour, Rock, Polo and Beach, though we should a add a fifth: Family."

The entrance to the event will be free and all are welcome to experience the festival of the sport.

Marc Murphy, CEO of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit, said "our destination is ready to receive the II International Beach Polo Cup, where we expect the presence of 400 to 500 people a day." He also commented that Riviera Nayarit is ready to receive all kinds of sporting events because it has sufficient infrastructure to accommodate them.

The key factor for the II International Beach Polo Cup will be the high level of play by the competitors including Argentine riders renowned worldwide:

Festivities will begin with the Welcome Cocktail Party on Friday, July 5, beginning at 8:00 pm at the Hard Rock. There will be a Fashion Show by Tucanê, team presentations and the draw for positions.

The tournament will begin with the qualifier rounds on July 6 at 2:00 until around 7:00 pm (each team will play 2 matches 4 chukkas), followed by the Polo Fiesta in the Barra Bar.

On Sunday, July 7, the final matches will be played beginning at 1:00 pm. The Awards Ceremony will take place at 6:00 pm with the Grand Finale Closing Party at 8:30.
