The efforts by Amigos de La Cruz and the Marina Riviera Nayarit to coordinate an event aimed at showcasing the town of La Cruz to outsiders and newcomers will come to fruition with "A Taste of La Cruz" on Saturday, January 14th, 2012, on the Malecon and Amphitheater area of the Marina Riviera Nayarit (La Cruz Marina).

Beyond the obvious, "A Taste of La Cruz" will not only highlight the vast selection and diversity of local restaurants, but ALL businesses in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle including musicians!.

Originally, the event was scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm. What do you do when A Taste of La Cruz isn't enough? Well...one thing you could do is EXTEND the whole thing with MORE MUSIC and longer hours and that's just what we're doing!

Everyone is now invited to stick around to hear some great free style jamming from all the musicians of La Cruz.  The Marina's Ikuai Restaurant bar, with a location right behind the Amphitheater, will continue to offer drinks as long as a crowd is around.

So plan on hanging around, watching he sunset, listening to some fine tunes and hoisting a few tall, cool ones.

So, here's the call, La Cruz: CALLING ALL MUSICIANS WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE.  All you need to do is show up with your instrument at 7:00 pm on Saturday the 14th at the Marina Amphitheater.  Come on, when's the last time you had an audience THIS big?

"A Taste of La Cruz" will be a celebration of all things La Cruz. This event is being promoted not only around the Bahia, but also through the vast net of the boating community with many incoming visitors currently or soon to be on the water.

In order to have the best possible mix of businesses, services and restaurants from La Cruz represented, we are asking our readers for your assistance in getting all of your favorite local vendors to participate. If you can help by canvassing, visiting or simply providing names and contacts, your support would be greatly appreciated.
