The MITA Institute Announces Opening of Registration for TechTalks 2013 Team Angels - Mita Institute

TechTalks is the premier tech and venture capital event of the year in Mexico/Latin America to be held in Punta Mita, Riviera Nayarit, on November 18-21, 2013.

This exclusive event unites decision-makers from the world’s leading visionary companies, established tech industry veterans, prominent venture capitalists, analysts, policy makers and universities that are leading global innovation and entrepreneurship.

Last year’s marquee speakers included Mike Maples, Tim Ferriss, Tom Serres, Jeff Schumacher, former product manager at Twitter Kevin Chang, among over 30 other influential tech and investment leaders. Speakers for this year’s conference are lining up to be equally as impressive.

The agenda includes two days of conference sessions and keynotes, networking sports and social events, and — new for 2013 — the MITA TechTalks Demo Day, featuring the most promising Latin American and MITA-mentored startups presenting their pitches to investors and VCs.

This year’s event will also include several pre-workshops including the first MITA Hackathon and an Angel Investor Bootcamp.

On Monday, November 18, there will be a Welcome Cocktail Party from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with presentation by the team winner of the Startup Weekend/MITA Hackathon.

Tuesday, November 19, will include TechTalks sessions and presentations including an interactive lunch from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, followed by "Punta Mita by Land" with activities such as a round of golf at the Jack Nicklas designed golf course, tennis or mountain biking from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. The Dinner Fiesta will be around the Four Seasons pool beginning at 8:00 pm.

On Wednesday, November 20, there will be TechTalks sessions and keynote speakers including a networking lunch at Four Seasons from 9:00 until 2:00. The afternoon will include "Punta Mita by Sea" with your choice of SUP/Surfing, Kite-Surfing, or a boat trip to the Marieta Islands. Dinner on the beach and after-party will begin at 8:00 at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.

MITA TechTalks Demo Day will be on Thursday, November 21 with the MITA Closing Beach Party & Dinner.

The MITA TechTalks will take place at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, both located inside of the gates of the Punta Mita Resort, along Mexico's Pacific coast, 30 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Punta Mita is situated on a 1,500-acre natural peninsula of land, bordered by nine miles of coastline. This geography assures its privacy, and the gated entry ensures its exclusivity.
