After a long search, selecting finalists, online voting and visits throughout the city, the contestants can finally let out their breath as the Municipal Government announces the winner of the 'Miss Vallarta 2013' pageant.

The finale and crowning ceremonies will take place in the Lighthouse (El Faro) section of the Malecon on Saturday, September 14, 8:00 pm, as part of the Mexico Independence celebrations. Singers Mariano Barba and Perla Alarcón will entertain.

Involved in the pageant are six young Vallarta beauties who will compete in three separate competitions in being evaluated by the jury, made up of DIF President Magaly Fregoso Ortez and other representatives from business and education organizations.

Included in the competition are Andrea Citlaly Curiel Rodríguez, Andrea del Rosario González Gómez, Blanca Esther Meza Rodríguez, Brisa Alondra Peña Valadez, Dulce Guadalupe Sánchez González and Valeria Magdalena Gutiérrez Ruíz.

The first stage will be an opening runway event choreographed by Carlos Salazar of Nuestra Belleza Jalisco. Following, the contestants will change into a cocktail dress and take the microphone in speaking about their chosen topic about the city of Puerto Vallarta. The finale will be in evening dress where the contestants will be asked to answer a question about the topic they chose to speak about in the second stage.

The judges will determine their final decision and the winner will be crowned Miss Puerto Vallarta 2013.
