The Vallarta Garden Club is proud to announce that Linda Harley will be the guest speaker at the upcoming meeting on Thursday, December 19, at 11:00 am.

Linda was raised in Venezuela. Her mother was a linguist whose work preserved and recorded numerous indigenous dialects. This provided Linda an exceptional view into the indigenous culture of Latin America throughout her formative years.

She has continued to study and learn the spiritual and nutritional value of native foods. She will be sharing with us the deep spiritual connection the Mayan peoples had with their food, especially life sustaining Maiz - the Food of the Gods.

Come and enjoy this interesting topic as we begin the holiday season!

The Garden Club meets the third Thursday of each month at the Paradise Community Center in Puerto Vallarta on Pulpito #127.

A few holiday gift ideas:

Consider sponsoring a tile this holiday season in your name, to honor someone important to you, or to extend your appreciation for the beautiful city we enjoy. There are numerous opportunities: adjacent to the flea market, Ave. Vallarta, Insurgentes and Mexico, Basilio Badillo and Olas Altas. Detailed information will be at our meeting or contact us at suzkirk66@gmail.com to get more information.

We’ll also have our newly produced "Vallarta Garden Club/Bugambilia Festival" tee shirts and bougainvillea plants you can purchase at the meeting.

Thanks to you who have joined our club. If you haven’t, please consider joining! We are so fortunate to have people like you helping and extending our appreciation for the beauty of our beloved Puerto Vallarta.

With all best wishes,
Matthias Vogt, on behalf of Suzanne Kirkpatrick, President
