Vertical Gardens? Have you heard of them? Have you seen any? We’re told it’s a simple, easy to use system that can be tailored to fit any available space. They’re becoming the “in-thing” as we all look to a greener future. Plus, with many of us living in condominiums with balconies, this may be our answer to the garden we all want.

The Vallarta Garden Club is pleased to have Diana Figueroa, a local Vallartan who has a business here developing vertical gardens -  Jardines Alternitivos. You may have seen her at the Bugambilia Festival last May.

Our next meeting is on Thursday, January 16, at 11:00 am at the Paradise Community Center in Old Town Vallarta, 127 Pulpito.

Members, come early and pick up your new membership card.

A nonmember? If you haven’t joined yet, take a look at Basilio Badillo or Olas Altas to appreciate the beautiful trees and planters that are contributing to the beauty of our city. Dues are only 300 pesos. Do join and help continue the work.

We’ll also be showing samples of tiles many of you have sponsored to give those of you who are thinking of sponsoring one many ideas.

Please do attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
