Be a Part of the 'We Are Proud' Documentary for Vallarta Pride 2014 Mijo! Brands

Fundraising season for Vallarta Pride 2014 officially began with the "We Are Proud" event which took place on Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 at the private residence of Don Pickens at Casa Cupula. Altogether 35,000 pesos were collected that will help finance the production of a 30-minute film documenting the history of the Puerto Vallarta gay community, directed by Brian Barnard and produced by Nancy Page.

Diva Divine hosted the event and entertainment was provided by Miss Conception, Dwight Blake, Elvis Martinez, Chi Chi Rones and Joanna.

During "We Are Proud" several prizes donated by Café des Artistes, Maia, Go Gay! Jungle Adventures, Salud, Nacho Daddy's, Art Vallarta, BuenFlex Clothing, No way José!, El Arrayán Restaurant, Nü Global Tapas, Metamorphosis Day Spa, Mantamar Beach Club Bar & Grill, Cassandra Shaw Jewelry, Studio Tattoo, ACT II Entertainment and Gay Bar Hopping Tours were raffled off.

Thanks to their generous participation in this event, all donors will receive credits at the end of the documentary and in the Autumn edition of Gay Guide Vallarta as well as a copy of the video.

According to the Vallarta Pride Organizing Committee, The Palm will host another fundraising event for the documentary. Further details will be shared on Facebook with updates and information on where they will be filming.
