Open Water Swimming Competition in La Cruz

The Aguas Abiertas Open Water Swimming Competition is organized by Nado Seguro and will take place on May 17, 2014, beginning at 7:00 am at the Riviera Nayarit Marina of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

The event attracts swimmers across every age group from 7 years and above with categories like juvenile, master, handicapped and professional. The number of swimmers is limited to 700.

Entry fee is 650 pesos until May 2 and registration from May 3-14 will be 700 pesos. This fee includes the official Aguas Abiertas event t-shirt & hat, participation medal, photo downloads on Facebook and refreshments after the competitions.

The International Swimming Federation (FINA) and the Mexican Swimming Federation (FMN) will supervise the event.

The Professional category for first place winners of the 5K race will receive a trophy and 4,000 pesos. Second through fifth place will receive medals and 3,000 pesos, 2,000 pesos, 1,000 pesos and 500 pesos.
