UPA Mexico Announces National Dance Championship Finals to be Held in Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta retains the confidence of the organizers of congresses, meetings and conventions, and have announced the National Dance Championship Competition "One Step Ahead" by UPA Mexico to be held at the Puerto Vallarta Convention Center June 12-14, 2015.

The General Director of the event, Ruth Trevino said that UPA is a space that welcomes talented dancers of all kinds of choreographic dance from the "street" styles of hip hop to more elaborate choreography of contemporary dance competing to win the first place prize nationally.

She said that UPA Mexico is one of the best dance competitions in the country and has a presence in different Mexican states, calling for the creativity of choreographers and dancers to integrate dance and music in the same theater.

For his part, Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) Miguel Andres Hernandez said that the estimated extent of the realization of this championship is to have 1,500 participants with their friends, family and companions bring up the attendance of approximately 4,500 people, with an average spending of 1,750 pesos minimum giving an overall economic impact of about 28 million of economic benefit.

The championship offers increased hotel occupancy, promoting Puerto Vallarta before, during and after the season event in interviews, print and social networks through photographs and videos.

The organizers stressed that UPA has 13 offices and a presence in eleven states: Colima, Baja California, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Queretaro, Quintana Roo, Mexico City, Veracruz, Morelos with the National Final in Puerto Vallarta from 12 to 14 June.

The organizers added that Puerto Vallarta offers the necessary conditions for the realization of this event as this is a city with the necessary infrastructure and also it arouses great interest among the contestants, which guarantees higher expectations of participation.

As part of the strategy of social bonding launched by the OCV, the organizers have joined in supporting a good cause in providing non-perishable food to the Maximo Cornejo Orphanage (Casa Hogar).
