Join us on an adventure into the spectacular Barrancas del Cobre. This is an area 4 times larger than Grand Canyon and 2000 ft deeper. Its remoteness makes it a step back in time. Spectacular views, one of the 10 greatest train trips in the world, deafening silence, amazing stars at night, and a chance to experience the Tarahumarara Indians, make this a very special experience.

We travel in a private, comfortable air conditioned bus (with movies, snacks and refreshments). We spend the first night in a beach front hotel in Mazatlan and enjoy a Welcome Cocktail overlooking the ocean. Our 2nd night is spent in a charming former Casona in the picturesque town of El Fuerte. In the morning we ride the El Chepe train (with first class tickets) to the highest point in the canyon. Staying 2 days in the canyon gives us time to relax and enjoy our lovely hotel Mirador - with stunning views and a balcony overlooking the canyon for each room. Our guide will lead 2 walks. A bus trip takes us to the local market, to a different viewpoint of 3 canyons, a market where there is a chance to shop for the beautiful baskets made by the Tarahumara ladies and a special treat — a visit to a children’s school. You will also ride a cable car, which takes you over a section of the canyon for wonderful views. We visit a Tarahumara cave home and hopefully see a bit of the Tarahumara dancing and music. All with the guidance of a experienced canyon guide.

Our train trip takes us back down to civilization and back to the picturesque hotel Posada del Hidalgo. From there we travel back to Puerto Vallarta, via Mazatlan and enjoy a celebratory Farewell dinner and Cocktails before we depart.
On this trip you have 2 days at the top of the canyon to enjoy at a relaxed pace and 2 nights in the charming Posada del Hidalgo to make our travels smooth.
The Copper Canyon Adventure of 7 days and 6 nights will be March 1-7, 2016. Cost is $1550 for Double Occupancy or $1980 for Single Occupancy. A $200.00 USD deposit per/person holds your space.
Everything is covered. ALL meals are included, with the exception of 1 dinner. All activities are covered. All you have to do is relax and enjoy. Enjoy the services of an experienced canyon guide. All luggage is moved for you. All tips are included with the exception of our local guide.
