Vallarta Rallies for Less Fortunate to the South with Disaster Relief from Hurricane Patricia Team Angels - PVAngels | |
October 26, 2015 |
Many local businesses in Puerto Vallarta are collecting donations and supplies for our less fortunate citizens to the south where Hurricane Patricia made landfall.
While Mexico for the most part was relieved that the storm caused no fatalities and only marginal damage in the resort of Puerto Vallarta and the principle port of Manzanillo, the sparsely populated zone of Pacific coast where Patricia delivered its fury was only beginning to assess the full damage Sunday.
Hurricane Patricia Victim Relief Fund
There was severe destruction 3 hrs south in towns like Tomatlan, Melaque, Barra de Navidad where some of us have friends and family.
We are moving fast to turn your contributions into food and immediate supplies going on trucks. Some have lost everything.
We are US business owners in Puerto Vallarta. Our beautiful resort destination escaped the wrath of Hurricane Patricia unscathed. But the world's strongest hurricane devastated rural areas to the south and east of our city in the state of Jalisco, with wind damage and flooding. These are our friends, our family, our employees and their families. They need help.
Any donation large or small will be used to purchase relief supplies which we will distribute directly to people in need.
We now have support from Comparte Centro Comunitario for trucks and drivers....and working with Vallarta supermarkets for discounts.
Let's show them we care.
Thank you.
