Driving to Vallarta? Volunteers Needed to Bring Supplies for Cancer de Mama Clinic Team Angels - Cancer de Mama | |
July 18, 2016 |
Each February, for three days, numerous dedicated volunteers provide breast prosthetics, bras and additional support to around 600 post-mastectomy Mexican women through the Cancer de Mama Clinic.
The products we distribute to these incredibly brave women are donated by companies, stores and private donors, primarily from (but certainly not limited to!), Western Canada and the Western USA.
Over the past 15 years, we've learned that the most secure and successful way to get the products into the country is by RV trailers. Since many of our drivers are now Seniors who've stopped driving to Mexico, we're desperately in need of help!
If you'll be driving to PV, arriving anytime before early January, would you be willing to bring a box or two with you? We'll find a way to get the boxes to you! Once in PV, we have someone who can get them to La Penita.
Our upcoming clinic will be February 3-5, 2017 at La Penita Senior Centre, Calle Bahia Guaymas #18.
As funds allow, we also offer a Survivor Program, to help offset the costs of cancer treatments and related expenses for breast cancer survivors.
All inquiries, ideas and offers of assistance will be soooo appreciated!!

We invite you to add your charity or supporting organizations' news stories and coming events to PVAngels so we can share them with the world. Do it now!
From activities like hiking, swimming, bike riding and yoga, to restaurants offering healthy menus, Vallarta-Nayarit is the ideal place to continue - or start - your healthy lifestyle routine.
