Lakeside Medical Group's Managed Care HMO is expanding into Puerta Vallarta with a limited pilot program. We are accepting 20 patients into the pilot program.

We operate very similar to the way a Managed Care HMO works in the United States. Most US and Canadian insurances are accepted by us. As a patient member in our medical group you will not be responsible for co-insurance and/or deductibles as these are some of the benefits of joining a medical group.

There is no cost to enroll into our HMO. What medical care is covered? Each insurance policy is different however coverage can range from emergency coverage only to comprehensive medical care including medications.

What is my financial resposibility? In general there is a $9.00 co-pay (150 peso) for all office visits and most procedures. The co-pays for a hospitalization is capped at $30.00 (500 pesos). As a registered member of our medical group you are not responsible for coinsurance or deductibles.

How does registration work? You can register online at Lake Medical Group or you can email us your info to info@lakemedicalgroup.com. We will check your benefits with your insurance company and then send you some forms to fill out. Registration is complete when the forms are returned to us. Registration usually takes 3-4 days.

How do scheduling and approvals work? Our office handles all scheduling for planned procedures and hospitalizations. Depending on your policy, office visits and routine labs may be automatically approved and you can schedule directly with one of our network primary care physicians. You will receive a registration package from us indicating your specific benefits.

Must I be registered in order to received covered benefits? Yes. In order for us to provide Managed Care coverage to you and bill your insurance company directly you must be registered with us.

You are invited to attend the Banderas Bay American Legion Post 14 General Membership Meeting for August will be held at Escondida's Sports Bar (Jacarandas 210) in Old Town Vallarta on Tuesday, the 16th of August at 11:00 am. We will have special guests from Lakeside Medical speaking to us about the possibility of using U. S. or Canadian health insurance HERE in PV!
