Puerto Vallarta has established itself as a vibrant center of art creation, exhibition and promotion. An important contribution to the city´s art scene is Puerto Vallarta´s ArtWalk which this year will be held every Wednesday, 6:00 - 10:00 pm, from October 26, 2016 through May 31, 2017. The participating galleries in Centro Historico offer works by important national and international artists. Remarkable paintings, exceptional sculptures, fine ceramics, blown glass and other types of noteworthly art are offered.

Collectors, patrons, residents and interested visitors can discover art of outstanding quality in the 8 participating galleries where exhibiting artists present their work.

Galería Colectika focuses on the evolution of Mexican Art. New colors, forms and techniques have been adapted from the outside world by well-known native and Mexican folk artists.

Galería Córsica which has two locations has been an ArtWalk member for many years. Because this contemporary fine art gallery´s catalogue includes only top Mexican artists, the gallery is a favorite of art collectors.

Nordsouth Gallery is a furniture and art gallery that offers a complete service of commercial and residential interior designs, regardless of the size of the project from conception to completion.

Since opening in 1987, Galería Pacífico has been considered one of the finest contemporary galleries in Mexico. On display is a wide selection of sculptures and paintings in various media by midrange masters and up-and-coming stars.

The focus of Galeria Caballito de Mar is to showcase art that is a serious reflection of Mexico's cultural past. Extraordinary masters of ancestral forms of art are represented in the gallery's rare extensive collection of antique and vintage jewelry, textiles and ceramics as well as other artistic expressions of the Americas. Galería de Ollas is dedicated to Mata Ortiz pottery. Mata Ortiz is a small rural village in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. There, over 400 of the villagers are creating the most beautiful, individually designed and handcrafted works of pottery. It all started when a 15 year old boy, Juan Quezada who lived in Mata Ortiz, left school to help his family by gathering wood in the nearby mountains. As he wandered across the plains, he found shards of ancient pottery, so he began his quest to make pottery the way it had been done by the ancient peoples of Paquimé. In 1971 after 15 years of observations, experimentation, trial and error, Juan succeeded. He had recreated the whole pottery making process. Galería de Ollas was established in February 1998 and since then has been dedicated to displaying and selling the works of the finest Mata Ortiz potters.
