We are proud to announce that the 'Hamaca Maya' hammock shop based in La Penita, Nayarit since 2001 has now opened an additional location in Puerto Vallarta!
We will continue the tradition of carrying only the finest of handwoven Mayan hammocks, in a wide variety of styles, sizes, and color combinations, as well as all hammock accessories!
Our hammock chairs are designed for sitting, reclining, or laying flat. The hammocks are available in 4 sizes, with or without spreader bars, and/or side fringes. All hammocks and chairs are available in various thread widths, in both cotton and nylon fibers. Price range is between 700 pesos and 1,200 pesos. We are set up so that you can test drive your hammock in the shop, also comes with fully illustrated instructions in both Spanish and English.
The traditional hammocks pack to the size of a small pillow, weighing between 1 and 4 kgs each, depending on size and style, and can easily be tucked into a corner of your suitcase, or carried onboard. The hammocks with spreader bars are bulkier, and are usually checked in as additional luggage. All hammocks are packed in plastic bags.
