Let’s go to the movies!
Puerto Vallarta is celebrating its 17th International Film Festival with exciting old and new movies, with Germany being the country of honor.
The Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta), through the PVIFF, pays a permanent homage to the world's cinematography and its stars.
Building an effective bridge between film creators and local public, as well as consolidating the film audiences in the region, are the PVIFF's main goals ever since its inception as "Mexican Film Exhibition in Puerto Vallarta" in 1995.
The Puerto Vallarta Film Festival in its 17th edition features Germany as the guest of honor and between March 13 and 24, the PVIFF will screen for free over 45 films from Mexico and the world divided in sections:
· Official
· Academic
· Gourmet
· Children's
· Environment
· Maguey Award
· Musical
· Transborder film
· Elderly people
. Cork Short Festival
“The Golden Iguana” is the PVIFF's highest award for the film world personalities, in recognition to their trajectory and contributions to the seventh art at a national and international level.
The venues are manifold including CUCosta, the Malecon, Lazaro Candenas Park, Los Mangos Library, La Isla and others. Entry is free.
