What a better welcome back to high season in Vallarta than a lively discussion about a great book?
The next meeting of the PV Book Club will be on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Sea Monkey at 2:00 pm.
We have chosen “Behold the Dreamers,” a debut novel by Imbolo Mbue, which won a PEN/Faulkner Award, was on the New York Times best books of 2016 list, and was an Oprah’s Book Club pick.
The Washington Post wrote: “A debut novel by a young woman from Cameroon that illuminates the immigrant experience in America with the tenderhearted wisdom so lacking in our political discourse . . . Mbue is a bright and captivating storyteller.”
