Quickie Report: Fish, Fish Everywhere, Dorado, Marlin and Sails Stan Gabruk - Master Baiter’s Sportfishing & Tackle

When things start to happen I like to post these “Quickie” Reports so if you’re in PV you can take advantage of special conditions and there are some great things happening.

Anywhere from El Morro to Corbetena there are some big Dorado to be had. Black and Blue Marlin are also in the area, but there are also Sharks. This means they’re taking any live bait you’re trolling. That’s the bad news, the good news is the Sharks are ignoring lures and taking live and dead baits. This makes your “bag of tricks” very important.

The good news is they’re all taking lures so your fishing day doesn’t have to be a disaster. Running lures that mimic Tuna, Blue and gold on the bottom are like gold. Iguanas that mimic Dorado of Green / yellow and black spots and the flying fish lures of Blue and White are all magic amigos.

With blue water and perfect water temperature of 83 degrees at Corbetena the party is going strong right now!

Marlin are anywhere between 300 and 600 lbs… Dorado are in the 20 lb to 60 lb range. Sailfish are all over nine feet long. Everyone in the area around the Rock are getting several strikes. Now if you can convert that into a boated finned fantasy is up to you amigo.

They are all located about two radius from the rock, south, east, west or north, two miles… The water is blue, water temperatures are perfect, plenty of bait, but you know to use lures and the bite is about 9:30 am.

So there you go, the information you need, when you need it most…..
