Vallarta Pride Announces Great Events for 2018 Festival Vallarta Pride

The Steering Committee of Vallarta Pride has announced the schedule and venues of the confirmed events for the sixth gay pride festival (Vallarta Pride)

The sixth gay pride festival in Puerto Vallarta, Vallarta Pride, will take place from May 20 to 27, 2018 and its Organizing Committee is proud to announce the confirmation of the events that will embellish this festivity in honor of the vibrant LGBT community that lives and visits our tourist destination.

Vallarta Pride 2018 begins activities this May 20 with the International Vigil in Memory of Victims of AIDS, which will depart from the Naval Museum at 8:30pm and end at Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas, with a commemorative event.

On Monday, May 21 there will be events such as the Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song, which will start at 6pm in The Boutique Community Center. That day at 7pm will start the Multimedia Presentation of History and Wisdom of LGBT in Puerto Vallarta by Teresa Delfín, at Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel. Also, the American singer Steve Grand, will perform his show at 7:30pm, in ACT II Entertainment. On May 21, the Vallarta Pride International Film Festival will start. The festival will screen films such as "120 Beats per Minute" on Monday 21 at 7pm in ACT II Entertainment. The same film will be also screened with English subtitles at Casa Karma Boutique Resort at 9pm; The film "Tangerine", which will be screened at Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel on Tuesday 22 at 7pm; and "Love 3D", which will be screened at Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel on Wednesday 23 at 9pm.

The calendar of events continue on May 22 with the musical Nunsense A-Men!, which will be held at ACT II Entertainment at 7pm. On Wednesday May 23, there will be a LGBT Art Walk, where locals and tourists will visit the most innovative galleries of the city. There will be two times for tours: 6pm and 8pm; On this day there also will take place Des Artistes Dinner at Café des Artistes, with live music by Michel Giglia, from 6pm; and the Queens of the Game at Casino Life, where you will experience a Las Vegas-style night at Casino Life starting at 7pm; also The Pink Dinner, a 4-course dinner with cocktails and wine at The Top Sky Bar, starting at 8pm.

The main celebration of Vallarta Pride 2018, the Pride Parade, will unite thousands of people who will observe and participate in the celebration on Thursday, May 24. The parade will be attended by the Grand Marshal of 2018, international singer Lorena Herrera; and the local Ambassador Hector Betancourt. The Pride Parade will begin at 7pm in front of the Sheraton Buganvilias, go through the Malecón and will end in Olas Altas, where the Block Party will be celebrated starting at 6pm on Lázaro Cárdenas Street (between Vallarta and Constitución).



On May 25 the Drag Derby will take place, starting at 5pm at the corner of Pulpito and Olas Altas streets; the Meet & Greet pre-concert with Lorena Herrera at Mangos Beach Club at 8:30pm; and a Lorena Herrera free concert, at 10pm at Teatro Vallarta. Free tickets for the concert will be available in order of arrival, starting at 8pm.

Other events confirmed for Friday, May 25 are the Official Women's Party by Pink & Proud (women only), which will take place at the Rooftop Bar of El Soñador, starting at 9pm and will feature DJ Vo!d; and The Big Top Party, hosted by Eliad Coheen.

On Saturday, May 26, the fun continues with the Andrew Christian HOT Underwear Cruise, which will depart at 10:30am from Los Muertos Pier and will be attended by the international fashion designer, Andrew Christian. The fun will also be at Adam and Steve's Party at Casa Cupula (men only), from 12pm to 7pm; as well as at the White Party Neon Circus Puerto Vallarta at Mantamar Beach Club from 6pm to 1am. In Parque Hidalgo, the Health Fair will be held from 4pm to 8pm, and S.E.T.A.C will provide medical references and professional services. On the other hand, in the Lázaro Cárdenas Park the 100 Reasons to Celebrate Fair will take place from 6pm to 10pm. There will be traditional games, mariachi, fashion show, awards, food and drinks. In Verona Bistro Bar there will also be an Cocktail Only for Girls from 8pm to 1am.

Vallarta Pride concludes its calendar of events on May 27, with the Pool Party Foam at Mantamar Beach Club, from 3pm to 10pm; and the screening of the documentary made in Bahía de Banderas "I Became Her Sister", followed by a Q&A session with the director Teresa Delfín and Dafne Estrada, protagonist of the documentary.

Vallarta Pride 2018 Confirma Grandes Eventos del 20 al 27 de Mayo

El Comité Organizador del Vallarta Pride ha dado a conocer los horarios y sedes de los eventos confirmados para el sexto festival del orgullo gay. Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco a 18 de Mayo del 2018.- El sexto festival del orgullo gay en Puerto Vallarta, Vallarta Pride, se llevará a cabo del 20 al 27 de mayo de 2018 y su Comité Organizador está orgulloso de anunciar la confirmación de los eventos que engalanarán esta festividad en honor a la vibrante comunidad LGBT que vive y visita nuestro destino turístico.

Vallarta Pride 2018 inicia actividades este 20 de Mayo, comenzando con la Vigilia Internacional en Memoria de Víctimas del SIDA, que partirá del Museo Naval a las 8:30pm y finalizará en la Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas, con un evento conmemorativo.

El Lunes 21 de Mayo se llevarán a cabo eventos como la obra Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song, que iniciará a las 6pm en The Boutique Community Center. Ese día también se realizará la presentación multimedia de Historia y Sabiduría de LGBT en Puerto Vallarta de Teresa Delfín, en Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel a las 7pm. Asimismo, el cantante estadounidense Steve Grand, realizará su show en vivo en ACT II Entertainment a las 7:30pm.

El día 21 de Mayo también arranca el Festival Internacional de Cine de Vallarta Pride, evento donde participa el Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Vallarta, Premio Maguey y Cine Canibal. Se proyectarán filmes como “120 Latidos por Minuto” el lunes 21, a las 7pm en ACT II Entertainment, misma que se proyectará con subtítulos en inglés, a las 9pm en Casa Karma Boutique Resort; El filme “Tangerine”, que se proyectará en Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel, el martes 22 a las 7pm; y “Love 3D”, que se proyectará en Villa Mercedes Petit Hotel el miércoles 23 a las 9pm.

La agenda de eventos continúa el 22 de Mayo con el musical Nunsense A-Men!, que se presentará en ACT II Entertainment a las 7pm. El miércoles 23 de Mayo, se llevarán a cabo los eventos de LGBT Art Walk, donde locales y turistas podrán recorrer las galerías más innovadoras de Puerto Vallarta, partiendo del Starving Artist Studio Gallery, en los dos horarios que tendrán para tours: 6pm y 8pm; la cena Des Artistes Dinner, una velada en Café des Artistes con la música en vivo de Michel Giglia, a partir de las 6pm; el evento Queens of the Game en Casino Life, donde se vivirá una noche estilo Las Vegas en Casino Life a partir de las 7pm; y The Pink Dinner, una cena de 4 tiempos con cocteles y vino en The Top Sky Bar, a partir de las 8pm.

La celebración principal de Vallarta Pride 2018, el Desfile del Orgullo, unirá a miles de personas que observarán y participarán en la celebración, el día Jueves 24 de Mayo. El desfile contará con la presencia de la Grand Marshal 2018, la cantante internacional Lorena Herrera; y el Embajador local Hector Betancourt. El Desfile del Orgullo iniciará a las 7pm frente al Sheraton Buganvilias, recorrerá el Malecón y finalizará en Olas Altas, donde la Fiesta en la Calle se celebrará a partir de las 6pm en calle Lázaro Cárdenas (entre Vallarta y Constitución).

El día 25 de Mayo se llevará a cabo el Drag Derby, a partir de las 5pm en la esquina de calles Púlpito y Olas Altas; el Meet & Greet pre-concierto con Lorena Herrera en Mangos Beach Club a las 8:30pm; y el Concierto Gratuito de Lorena Herrera, a las 10pm en Teatro Vallarta. Los boletos gratuitos para el concierto estarán disponibles por orden de llegada, a partir de las 8pm.

Otros eventos confirmados para el viernes 25 de Mayo son la Fiesta Oficial de Mujeres, de Pink & Proud (solo para mujeres), que se llevará a cabo en el Rooftop Bar de El Soñador, a partir de las 9pm y que contará con DJ Vo!d en vivo; y The Big Top Party, que tendrá como host a Eliad Coheen y la presentación del cantante Nikki Valentine.

El sábado 26, continúa la diversión con el Andrew Christian HOT Underwear Cruise, que partirá a las 10:30am desde el Muelle Los Muertos y contará con la presencia del diseñador de moda internacional, Andrew Christian. La diversión también estará en la Fiesta de Adam y Steve en Casa Cupula (solo para hombres), de las 12pm a 7pm; así como en la White Party Neon Circus Puerto Vallarta en Mantamar Beach Club de 6pm a 1am. En el Parque Hidalgo, se realizará la Feria de la Salud, de 4pm a 8pm, donde S.E.T.A.C brindará referencias médicas y servicios profesionales. Por otro lado, en el Parque Lázaro Cárdenas se llevará a cabo la Feria 100 Razones para Celebrar, de 6pm a 10pm, donde habrá juegos tradicionales, mariachi, desfile de modas, premios, comida y bebidas. En Verona Bistro Bar se realizará también un Coctel de Encuentro Sólo para Chicas de 8pm a 1am.

Vallarta Pride concluye su calendario de eventos el día 27 de Mayo, con la Espuma Pool Party en Mantamar Beach Club, de 3pm a 10pm; y la proyección del documental realizado en Bahía de Banderas “I Became Her Sister”, seguido de una sesión de preguntas y respuestas con la realizadora Teresa Delfín y Dafne Estrada, protagonista del documental.
