Mexico’s Pacific Treasure is busy hosting prestigious national and international events (Riviera Nayarit CVB)

The Riviera Nayarit is adding a long list of great events this June to its already full offer of sun, beach, luxury, and spectacular hotels. These events heat up the destination and help promote it in Mexico and around the world.

Concerts and sports, culinary, and cultural events are just some of the many activities travelers can enjoy in Mexico’s Pacific Treasure. These events not only attract thousands of visitors but are also an important source of revenue for the micro-destinations that host them.

13th Guayabitos Motofest (June 1-3)
Everything is ready for the 2018 Guayabitos Motofest. Hundreds of riders and thousands of attendees will be on-hand from June 1-3 to enjoy this get-together that’s been held for the past 13 years in the Heart of the Riviera Nayarit. This is the best biker beach event ever, one that’s positioned itself among the top events of its kind in the Mexican Pacific. Don’t miss it! Click for more details

1st Riviera Nayarit Rock Festival (June 9)
Fans of Spanish rock have a date next Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the 1st Riviera Nayarit Rock Festival. The concert will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Nuevo Vallarta’s arena with the Mexican band Panteón Rococó headlining, accompanied by local bands Sal de Mar, Renglón, and The Black Hardies. 58th San Blas International Fishing Tournament (June 13-17)
The Historic Port of San Blas is getting ready to welcome the 58th San Blas International Fishing Tournament from June 13-17, held at the Marina Fonatur and organized by the Tepic Sport Fishing Club. The three competition categories include Sailfish, Marlin, and Mahi-Mahi (Dorado). The tournament is considered the best in class in the Mexican Pacific and one of the Riviera Nayarit’s top ten events of the year. Click for more details

2018 North American Optimist Championship (June 24-July 1)
The Riviera Nayarit will be the official host of the 2018 North American Optimist Championship from June 24th through July 1st at the Vallarta Yacht Club. This is one of seven continental championships held worldwide in the Optimist class, backed by the Mexican Sailing Federation (FMV) and endorsed by the IODA and the World Sailing Federation. The competition is open to athletes from North America, South America, and the Caribbean; boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 15 who have been selected by their respective associations. Battle of the Saints in Mexcaltitán (June 29)
The patron saint feasts for Saint Peter and Saint Paul on the Island of Mexcaltitán, the Birthplace of Mexican Heritage, are some of the most iconic traditional festivities in the region. They are celebrated with a pilgrimage that reenacts the one the Mexica or Azteca people embarked on centuries ago when they left Aztlán to found the Great City of Teochtitlán.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) reaffirm their commitment to working intensely to attract more and better tourism to Mexico’s Pacific Treasure with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit via the Tourism Promotion Trust (Fiprotur).

Rock, Deportes y Cultura en los eventos de junio de la Riviera Nayarit

A su oferta de sol, playa, lujo y espectaculares hoteles, la Riviera Nayarit ha sumado una gama de grandiosos eventos durante el mes de junio, que inyectan de vida al destino y lo difunden en México y el mundo.

1er. Festival de Rock Riviera Nayarit (9 junio)
Los amantes del rock en español tienen una cita el próximo sábado 9 de junio de 2018 en el 1er. Festival de Rock Riviera Nayarit, a realizarse en la explanada de conciertos del Hard Rock Hotel Nuevo Vallarta, con la participación de la banda mexicana Panteón Rococó como estelar, además de las agrupaciones locales Sal de Mar, Renglón y The Black Hardies. 58° Torneo Internacional de Pesca Deportiva San Blas (13 – 17 junio)
El Histórico Puerto de San Blas se prepara para recibir del 13 al 17 de junio el 58° Torneo Internacional de Pesca Deportiva San Blas, que tendrá como sede la Marina Fonatur y cuyo organizador principal es el Club de Pesca Deportiva de Tepic A.C. Pez vela, Marlín y Dorado son las tres categorías en las que competirán los participantes. Este torneo es considerado como el mejor en su rubro en todo el Pacífico mexicano, y uno de los 10 mejores eventos del año en la Riviera Nayarit. Más información

Campeonato Norteamericano Optimist 2018 (24 junio – 1 julio)
Riviera Nayarit será la sede oficial del Campeonato Norteamericano Optimist 2018 a realizarse del 24 de junio al 1° de julio en el Vallarta Yacht Club. Se trata de uno de los siete campeonatos continentales alrededor del mundo en la clase Optimist de Vela, el cual cuenta con el apoyo de la Federación Mexicana de Vela (FMV) y es avalado por la IODA y la Federación Mundial de Vela. La competencia está abierta a deportistas de Norteamérica, América del Sur y el Caribe; niños y niñas de entre 12 y 15 años que hayan sido seleccionados por sus respectivas asociaciones. Batalla de Santos en Mexcaltitán (29 junio)
Una de las ceremonias tradicionales más representativas es la fiesta de los santos patronos San Pedro y San Pablo de la Isla de Mexcaltitán, Cuna de la Mexicanidad, donde se realiza una peregrinación que simula la que sostuvieron hace siglos los Mexicas o Aztecas, que partieron de Aztlán para fundar la Gran Tenochtitlán.

La Oficina de Visitantes y Convenciones de Riviera Nayarit (OVC) y la Asociación de Hoteles y Moteles de Bahía de Banderas (AHMBB) refrendan su compromiso de trabajar con intensidad para conseguir el objetivo de atraer más y mejores turistas a El Tesoro del Pacífico Mexicano, con el respaldo del Gobierno del Estado de Nayarit a través del Fideicomiso de Promoción Turística (Fiprotur)
