'Heir to a Misfortune' at The Boutique Theatre Puerto Vallarta Team Angels - The Boutique Theatre

Theater-goers are raving about the new comedy hit play at The Boutique Community Theatre “Heir to a Misfortune” which has been held over by popular demand.

Arthur Aldenbrooke recently passed away, leaving three daughters and a large fortune. Violet, the oldest, is sweet and innocent, while the younger Christa and Lynn are greedy trouble-makers.

Arthur’s attorney arrives with the sealed will of the late millionaire with instructions to read it to a select handful of people. One of those people being Arthur’s secret lady friend Gabriella, whose evil ambition should have been evident from the start.

Here are a few remarks from Gary Beck, Puerto Vallarta’s theater writer. “Only when you feel (a) particular character is the craziest, another one appears who is even more off the deep end … there are surprises along the way, but the finale is priceless.”

Beck praised the performances of the show’s cast, which features experienced and first-time local actors. The show’s set is also drawing attention. “Of particular note,” Beck writes, “is the stage, which has been designed beautifully, featuring paintings by Amy Frank and Misael Ivan Lopez. The art … exemplifies the sitting room of a billionaire.”

The cast of local actors is Hans Jonasson, Carlo Gagliano, Ellie Frank, Bonnie Cretzman, Deb Barton, Candace Kepley, Ed Munoz, and Alice Averett Domeniconi.

The play begins at 6:00 pm on November 30 and December 1 and you can opt for the Dinner Show for 580 pesos or for the Show Only at 300 pesos. Tickets may be purchased online or stop by Nacho Daddy to make your reservations.
