The goal is to reach 5,000 toys to distribute on January 4, 2020 to boys and girls from the different colonies of Puerto Vallarta.
To send a gift to the low-income children of the municipality at this time in December, the president of the DIF System Puerto Vallarta Candelaria Tovar de Dávalos, announced the beginning of the campaign “Gifts of Love, a toy from the heart”, through which she invites citizens to donate a toy.
At a press conference, the first lady said that it is not only about delivering a gift, but about bringing a message of love and solidarity to the little ones. So you do not need a flashy toy, the most important thing is to achieve a smile in the children of Puerto Vallarta.
“The invitation is for employees of companies, schools, and the entire population that has the opportunity to give a toy, send them to the Fund Procurement Area of the DIF System. Our goal is to gather 5,000 toys and benefit the same number of children. With this campaign we visited the homes of girls and boys who do not receive a gift at Christmas or Dia de Reyes and we give them the toy that people with big hearts donated to us,” she said.
She mentioned that donations will be received until December 27 to have the time to separate them for either boy, girl and babies. Those who are going to make their donation are important to consider that the toys do not use batteries and are not warlike. Used toys will also be accepted, as long as they are in good condition.
The collection center is located in the central offices in the Fund Procurement area of the municipal DIF, on Paseo de las Palmas avenue S / N, Barrio Santa María, which will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
